LIN-SANITY CONTINUES .....

I have had the pleasure in my life time to watch some of the greatest games on live on tv from Jordan and the double nickel game at MSG, those classic Pacers vs Knicks games et al. However, I haven't been this hyped up about the NBA since Jordan and Yao Ming.

This to me has to be the feel good story of the year and it's only February. Jeremy Lin on February 10.2012 has done something truly amazing. On the grandest stage of them all Live on Madison Square Garden on ESPN a nation saw the birth of potentially a new star. Lin had a career high 38 points on the Lakers and led the Knicks to a fourth straight win. This all without Amare Stoudamire and Carmelo Anthony. After each win they interview him and after each win it's been about his teammates. He knows that with ball distribution someone gets open gets a look, a shot or opportunity to help the team. This is truly inspiring and this is what sports is all about.

His spin move layup against Fisher will be youtube highlights for years to come. The two 3 pt shots he took helped dictate the game in crucial moments or set the tones of the game. His high energy, and endearing love of the sport is what warms my heart in itself. However, all this praise also comes with the pride I feel that a Chinese born American (1st generation) is able to dominate (currently) in his game. Not too many b-ball players coming out of China or the US that have put up the kind of stats he has with the exception of perhaps Yao Ming.

Now let's hope his play continues in the biggest media market in the US. I hope that he defies logic and leads the Knicks to the playoffs. They play like the Phoenix Suns right now under their coach. It's a good system and people are feeding off of him. Heck, I got chills when you heard the M-V-P chants ... on this day at least today he's an MVP for the Knicks definitely.

Congrats J.Lin..
