I'm on board, Linsanity or the Jeremy Lin Show

Earlier this week a friend of mine Phillip Chung had sent me a link to NBA on espn regarding a Harvard Graduate playing as the Starting Point Guard for the New York Knicks. I thought to myself like many do, hmm another Chinese Basketball player making a name for himself yet I haven't heard the hype. Well, Jeremy I hear you know, I hear you loud and clear.

This baller is not Yao Ming and may never transcend the sport like he does but being a short and modest
5ft 7inch in height while Jeremy is a 6ft 3 inches gives me a bit more to relate too. In a sport where the big men dominate a humble and modest kid from California is making big waves.

His story is nothing short of inspirational to me personally. He got his chance to play the sport he loved and his family supported him throughout. He comes from a great home and good upbringing and he's a christian kid. Now call me crazy but this is like Tim Tebow asian style with Basketball instead of football.

I watched his highlights for his first starting game against the Nets and I was impressed. He nailed 25 pts added 8 assists for a first game. Follows that up with 28 pts against the Jazz and last night 23 pts and 10 assists vs the Wizards and outplayed last year's number 1 pick John Wall. But get this tomorrow he plays the Lakers and against Derek Fisher now J.Lin it's time to see what you got. Beating some bad teams is one thing but able to bring down Kobe and the Lakers that's another.

In this day in age I get sentimental for certain things and J.Lin I got teary eyed watching your first game. You play the sport you love and people can see it through your smile and eyes. You are just happy to be there and for once it looks like the Knicks are just happy. Team ball and Team Play is fundamental and well congrats. You are now the starting pg for the Knicks and one more thing.. If you win a championship this year there's a billion people ready to celebrate with you.
